ARTIANA is the UAE’s first home-grown auction house for art and luxury collectibles, and the only one to have sales of South Asian Art in the region. Artiana's sales of South Asian Art regularly feature fine and rare pieces from the Indian subcontinent by Maqbool Fida Husain, Syed Haider Raza and Francis Newton Souza among other established artists; including classical art such as Indian, Gandharan sculptures and Indian miniature paintings.

The Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Department offers works by leading modern artists and cutting-edge contemporary artists from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, as well as by diaspora artists from this region. Artiana hosted the first-ever No Buyer’s Premium auction in this category — The resounding success of our inaugural auction in March 2016 set the stage for further bi-annual online auctions of works from this department.
