Born in 1919, Kamel was from the third generation of the contemporary art group under the artist who was the first to believe in surrealism and abstraction, Youssef El Afifi. Kamel started works on surrealism then moved to expressionism but maintained an organic equilibrium in his canvas. His works are a strong display of abstract paintings with different periods like the blue, red and yellow. Kamel passed away in 1973.
